Hi Deborah,
You asked for comments from people who are “marketing” via social networking sites. I’ve found being on LinkedIn has broadened by audience outside the U.S. significantly, has allowed me to interact with fellow researchers world-wide, and provided introductions to prospects (most of whom has searched me out). Twitter is very time consuming and I still don’t get it. Facebok is fun for family and friends, but I don’t expect to be using it for business exposure (even though I was just talked into putting my Facebook contact info on my new business cards).
